Richard De Carpentier
Richard de Carpentier started playing competitve rugby at age 14 for his school Kirkham Grammar.
He became a full-time England Sevens squad member in 2015-16 and was included in the 25-strong Great Britain training squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
His performances were rewarded 12 months later when he became the RPA England Sevens Player of the Year and he was picked in England’s squad for the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens. Richard toured with the 2019 but sustained an injury part way through.
A Back Row Forward at 15-a-side and a prop in sevens, Richard has played for Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors and also had a loan spell with Nottingham. He captained Worcester in their first Premiership Rugby 7s Series final in 2013 and helped them win the 2015 British & Irish Cup. He also played for England and GB Students.
